Past/Present Performers

Valencia Emanuel's concerts are high quality because of our “Broadway level” performers.  Performers are New York professional actors who have worked throughout the US and abroad.  Many of them have worked on Broadway and performed in several national Broadway tours, movies, and commercials. 

Derrick Baker performs and teaches the dance classes.  He has a BS degree from Westminster Choir College.  He is an esteemed choreographer with over 20 years experience.  He toured the country teaching Master Tap classes for 5 years.  His leading roles include All-Star Game, Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat, and 5 Guys Named Moe.

Valencia Emanuel, CMR’s founder, earned a Business Degree from Towson State University.  Ms Emanuel worked throughout the country in Ain’t Misbehavin’, Little Shop of Horrors, and Guys and Dolls.  She was the first woman to perform in Five Guys Named Moe 

Stephon Jones’ degree is from SUNY New Paltz.  He has toured the country as a lead singer with the Drifters and the Platters.  He is currently a back up singer with J.T. Taylor of Kool and the Gang.

Stanley Martin Kryzwanos is a currently in Alladin on Broadway.  He is a master Jazz, Tap, and Ballet instructor.  Several of his former students are attending college on Dance scholarships.  His leading roles were in Aladin, Smokey Joes Café, Sophisticated Ladies, West Side Story, and Music Man. 

Darren Lorrenzo graduated from Clark Atlanta University with degree is in Mass Communications, and minor in Fashion Design.  Darren is a faculty member of the Univ. of S Florida Broadway Theater Proj.  He is a sought after director of theatrical and musical revues. He toured the country with Outkast, Gladys Knight, and Kirk Franklin. He had leading roles in the30th Anniversary European Tour of Hair, Fosse, and Solid Gold Soul.

Mike Hammond is a York College alumnus and a master vocalist.  Mike appeared in many Broadway shows and national tours.  He is most proud of singing with Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Billie Joel.
